Getting proper power on heading is a challenge. There's clearly times to do it and other times you shouldn't. New keeper throw and kick actually isn't overpowered, which I was shocked to see. It's early, but it feels a lot more possible to get corners in there without the keeper getting to them, which was a huuuuuge issue with 16. Ronaldo still jumped for it, but missed and the ball was cleared. I was playing as Real Madrid and could see Ronaldo isolated near post and I could ping it to him on a line, but I missed the aimer thing by a few feet because of how shaky it is. I'm not sure why you should do anything else besides this and the finesse shot unless you are 25+ yards away or at a difficult angle, but this will take more time to find out. It's also made defending tougher and less predictable, a welcome addition for someone like myself who plays a ton offline. You should now look for a pass when a defender is coming instead of changing your angle with the ball, something you couldn't get away with in the past games.

No more flying around and changing angles consistently. Your player is sluggish on turns, now, once again, as they should be. Sprinting is incredibly useful if you do it right, but there are now far more times when you shouldn't be doing so.

It REWARDS good play and PUNISHES poor play. The new physics engine might be my favorite new thing in the game. One more thing I noticed is that a regular Y ball on the edge of the box actually works now, as opposed to it 95% of the time being overhit right to the keeper on 16, which was seemingly a balancing decision to eliminate that from the game. I think wingers are going to be awesome this year because of that. Now, you can actually put the ball ahead of them and let them run. When you saw a player on your team advancing into a huge gap of space, you just had to hope that the Y ball would play him into the space instead of hitting him on the foot while leading him forward. The big difference for me has been the driven through pass. Regular passes are incredibly accurate like they should be. Passing is obviously the star of the show.
